It is the only day that you can be as green as you want. I don't care how green with envy you are of me because all that matters is that it's a public holiday. Biaqpi that St Paddy's is believed to be celebrated for driving snakes away from Ireland, which I think is mostly fictional anyway. I think it was to honour their Pagan history.

As I did last year, I went to watch the parade,only this time, I donned a smaller leprechaun hat, and stood along Christchurch. I didn't take as many photos of myself, because I didn't quite feel like it. Growing up, perhaps? ;P.

This time around, the parade seems that of Pesta Flora and Fauna Malaysia.I remember vividly going with my aunt. Be it Pesta Flora 93,94,95, you name it, we went. The characters in the parade were so fictional and wizardly, that I'm starting to doubt the heritage. Haha. I'm kidding!.

Honestly, I would've thought there was some sort of theme for the parade, but I can't see an correlation in any of them, thus I'm making up my own puzzle of story..

You guys have just been hearing stories from me, stories about this place, which I see through my lenses and through my hearings.But, I guess, the Irish knows best about their culture and their famous leprechauns. I am also giving out ideas for Halloween.

In Irish mythology, a leprechaun (Modern Irish: leipreachán) is a type of male faerie said to inhabit the island of Ireland. They are a class of "faerie folk" associated in Irish mythology and folklore, as with all faeries, with the Tuatha Dé Danann and other quasi-historical races said to have inhabited Ireland before the arrival of the Celts.

Leprechauns and other creatures of Irish mythology are often associated with "faerie forts" or "faerie rings" — often the sites of ancient (Celtic or pre-Celtic) earthworks or drumlins.

They usually take the form of old men who enjoy partaking in mischief. Their trade is that of a cobbler or shoemaker. They are said to be very rich, having many treasure crocks buried during war-time.
