Contrary to popular belief, China, or Zhuhai to be exact, is clean. No cigarette butts littering the streets, neither is there any empty Drinho 'air kotak' lying around. It could be the ever hard wokring cleaner sweeping the streets, or perhaps the people have civilised over the years.(no, i do not mean that they were uncivilised before this.).
My trip to China was planned months ahead. We took the Air Asia flight to Macau, and headed to China Mainland via bus.The flight took 3 hours 40 minutes, and once we touched down, we took the expresslink, which allowed us to go straight to China without having to stamp our passport.
We waited for 2 hours for a bus to Gong Bei, Zhuhai,and once we arrived there, we were faced with a problem. They couldn;t understand English, and we couldn't understand Cantonese or Mandarin. It's like a duck communicating with a hen.Haha.We called the hotel, to get them to talk to the taxi driver, to tell him where we wanted to go.
On the very first day, we experienced, many 'dramas'. It all started with a Chinese lady who SMOKED in the plane, and who in the world told her she could do so? Followed by a man who unbuckled his seat belt, when the plane was about to LAND?!!How can anyone do such a thing? I mean, as if the sign is not alread obvious?!
