Scotland Part 2

On the third day, we went to the famous Edinburgh (pronounced Edinberer), via train and stopped at Edinburgh Waverly terminal. It costs 10.70 Pounds to and fro.My 10 pounds was worth it because that place is beautiful. I kinda wished I had more time and more MOOLAH ( that is Money yeah paps!). It's funny how century old buildings are overlooking the fast paced modern hustle and bustle of city life.

There was a funfair and a German Market right smack in the middle of the city, I guess it's the holiday season, what with Chrstmas and Winter Break. Ferris Wheel, Roller Coaster, Ice Skating,Chips and CURRY (seriously).

WE took the City Tour bus, which costs us 8 pounds each. SO some of the pictures look bad because we were on the move on the bus, although, there were a lot of good views of mountains and buildings (and more buildings...)

By the time I saw the gate and the castle, I imagined what it was like few thousand back, how the people would hike, or ride on horses to get to the castles...ala-ala pengembala kambing sket aa)

There was a Tartan Mill Souvenier Shop. It shows how the Scottish Kilt are made. And I took a picture wearing one! A true scotman will not wear anything underneath the skirt!

( I wonder why if other men put on a skirt, he'll look gay, but not when you're in Scotland?)

We had to pay 26 pounds for 2 pictures. WE can't curi-curi snap because Amna was caught taking our pictures using my camera and the guard came and marah. Cis..so expensive pun tak bagi kami snap! cilakak!
After that we walked around the town with our feet! We went to the museum, but since we hadn;t much time left , we didn;t spend much time in the museum.

When night falls, we went around the German market. To the amusemnet park and ice-skating.




We took the 6 o'clock train and headed back to Glasgow. We were tired and hungry too! We only ate a scone each and share a potato hash brown. Nak diet konon! Ok. check again tomorrow for another round of update!

My trip to Scotland was fantastic. Good company, maginificent scenery, good weather(despite the cold), and delicious food!( ikan gulai asam pedas !) . My friends and I went there on Ryan Air and arrived at Prestwick Airport on the 16th of December.

Abang Adnan and Abang Zaidi picked us up from the airport, which was about 45 minutes from their place. Abang Zaidi has been in Scotland for 3 years, so the roads are quite familiar to him.We stayed at Kak Effa and Abang Adnan's house, togther with their adorable kids. Their place is in Glasgow, Victoria Road, if I'm not mistaken.

On the first day , we just went to the park and the charity shops around Victoria. I wasn;t surprised that there were a lot of Halal food, but I was dead surprised to find out that most of the properties belong to the Pakistanis. Apparently they are the strong and rich ones there. And so, I later found put that even the local primary school that Kakak (khatijah) attend has more Pakistanis and Malays than Scottish. HOW?!
The next day we went around Glasgow town via car, thanks to Abg Zaidi, trusted Estima! (and memoried of WDJ 737 being our official balik kelantan van comes pouring back!)

Scotland is a very beautiful place with lots of historical buildings and churches. I guess churches are also common in Dublin, or any european countries for that matter. So I'll upload the pictures for you to enjoy. Since, a picture is worth more than a 1000 words, I'll let my pictures do the talking for my Second day in Glasgow.(not literally tho).
PS-we were constantly on the move, so some of the pics were very blur and shaky, so just enjoy what you see ok?

There's a proper mosque right in Glasgow, because the Muslim community is strong and the Pakistani Muslims are , in a way powerful. But, Abg Zaidi shared some information, that the 4 mosques around his place, practices different Mazhab (apa dah in english? luper).

The went to Alfa, a warehouse which sell really cheap stuff in BULK. And the owner? You guessed it, Pakistani. So it's very easy to get Halal stuff here. Ferero Rocher tu best!!

After that we went to the Forge Market, and aorund that area, there's a lot of Warehouses, which I can so get broke if I go there!. Kak effa wanted to get her PC, and this is what the kids did!

The best part was really the Car Boot, where there's really good price for good items. This carboot is the biggest one.
