To get over to the better shopping streets, one has to cross over the River Liffey, using the Ha'penny Bridge. Erm, as for pronounciation, you can ask Ibu how the dengung is like. Whether we should say it as Hak Penny or Hok Penny. Hmm..everything here seems to revolve around pennies, don't you think?.This is how the bridge looks like, since I managed to play tourist for the day.
And if you look closer, there's the Liberty Hall. It is said to be the tallest building in Dublin.It was the tallest in Ireland before this, but has been superceded by another bulding in Cork.However, there are a lot of beggars along the bridge, and mind you they are ALL healthy,fit and YOUNG! I have never seen a beggar who hasn't got any hands or lost a foot or blind. I see that after they've collected the money, they go in to the bars and DRINK! or but ciggarettes!

Dubliners protested to the building of it, becuase they felt that it was a waste of public money for a spear, which can't even be use to spear a fish.Hmm, reminds me of a certain Taman Millenium at the SS14 round-about.
