Kris Kindl, Kris Kringle, Merry Christmas!!

Kris Kindl ke Kris Kringle, only depends which part of the continent you come from. Since my Director is Canadian, he refers to the tradition of exchanging gifts among colleagues as Kris Kringle. In Malaysia, I think, it's best known as Secret Santa.

This year, it seems that everyone is not so enthusiastic about buying gifts for each other although this year, they reduced the price range from €15-€20 to €10-€15.Recession times! Do you expect to get less of a shite-y present? Perhaps yes.. I got a female colleague whom I talk to on a regular basis for Kris Kindl, so I thought I knew what to get for her.Turns out, she was just a-okay about it. I was watching her from far when she received the present! Touche!

I bought her this quilted purse from A-Wear. It costs €10, which is right on the dot of the price range, BUT it was also featured on LOOK magazine!. So I thought I deserved a self pat on the back, but it was not to be the case. Not nice meh? I think it's cool lor, because it looks similar to the over-rated Chanel quilt handbag design. Lol. Bagi mereka tak mampu seperti saya, beli yang seakan-akan ok?

I did not open my gift immediately infront of everyone because,I wanted to take a picture of my present first. And also I did not want to give any indication whether I liked the present or not! Sebenarnya dah senyum kambing sebab hadiah besar! yay!

So I got this mini lava lamp, but it is not actually lava, but they substitute it with glitter instead. And it changes colours every few seconds. Everyone thinks my present is kinda cool. I think so too. I thought it was pretty awesome and peaceful. My boss thinks it would distract him though if he received it.

And yes, that is my desk, with the numerous post its on it. We don't get colourful post its, so I make do with yellow ones. And yes, the wallpaper on my desktop is the picture of my sister, my dad and myself about 20 years ago. And yes, I bloody need post its to remember things.

And I received a box of Lindt chocolate as well, probably to make the gift worth €15.Cokelat ini sangat sedap dan sangat buat saya rasa ada dua dagu.Tapi saya tak kisah, janji rock? And that's my lip balm in the tiny blue bottle, and my nivea hand cream. That orange drink belongs to my colleague who likes to dig his ears. Can you see how close his desktop is to mine? How can I not notice that he is a 'gold digga?"

And that is how our kurus-kering Christmas tree looks like this year. Recession lah, what else? Pokok pun pokok kurus. tak syok lah mcm ni. Last year's tree was fat and full of leaves, but apparently they bought this tree in the name of Charity. Osteoperosis Aid Dublin or something.The decorations were done by my colleague. Cantik lak jugak actually.

 Anyway, this year's Christmas celebration seemed to be pretty quiet, all blaming the recession. Our Christmas dinner was in a Lebanese restaurant after a trip on the Rock and Roll bus. I did not take any pictures, because it was nothing to shout about, although I had an Amy Wino hair-do.

Probably because I was comparing with our celebration two Christmases ago! We had our Xmas party in Barcelona! That was the shiznit yo! I really hope we can go to Austria for our Christmas Party next  year.

It's good that Christmas this year falls on Friday, which makes Monday a public holiday. And I'm going to London for boxing day. Hoping to spend my holidays hibernating...
