My car's window was smashed. Assholes

 As some of you may have read in my other social networking accounts, my car's window was smashed by two Malay men on a motorbike right in front of my house. I wasn't in the car at that time but my mom was. It pains me to see her having to go through a traumatic event right in front of her house, her sanctuary. It would make you feel somewhat unsafe in your own home.

 I'm writing this as narrated by my mother, to be shared to the public so that everyone can be alerted by the modus operandi of these guys. My mom was trying to open the auto gate with the remote control, when she suddenly realised the windows were broken to pieces. She didn't notice anyone nearby, nor did she hear any motorbikes around. If you must know, my house is at the very end of a cul-de-sac, so the damn robbers were just too brave. The next thing she realised was her bag was missing and then it only occured to her that somebody had broken the window and had taken her bag. When she looked to her left, the two guys were 2 houses away and actually had the audacity to turn and look at my mother. That's how my mum knew they were Malays but with fair skin. 

 Although we've all heard of similar cases happening to our friends or neighbours , we tend to think that "Oh, we will be careful the next time" We tend to think that we're safe from the misfortune of others and that we forget that sometimes, we just forget. We are all human beings afterall.

I was in the gym when it happened and received the call from my brother when they were in the police station. My heart dropped to pieces and just wanted to make sure my parents were alright. Thank god my mother was left unharmed, but a piece of the glass got to her foot and resulted in a small cut. There wasn't much in her handbag, about 200SGD and 200RM. It's so sad that they took her favourite handbag that my brother bought for her in Italy and the purse, handphone and glasses I bought for my mom in Dublin are gone. If they were educated people, they wouldn't have done that knowing how hard people have to work to buy things and the cost of replacing the window is even more than the money in it. 

The police said the new tactics of these guys were using a motorbike's spark plug and no matter how you tint your car , they will be able to break your window screen just by placing it on the screen. Also according to them, it is done by the average 19-20year old boys from Kota Damansara. Why he was so specific is beyond us. I hope all of you can please please try to keep your handbag in the boot of the car.

Anyway all I hope is for them to be hit by a lorry and die a slow painful death. The kind where they get dragged 20kms underneath the tyres of the lorry. Boy that would so make my day.
