This is such an embarrassing moment for me as a Malaysian in the company. I approached an Irish colleague of mine to ask him some stuff for the audit work that I am currently enagegd in. I guessed he just wanted to test the waterla, he asked me where the documents are saved. I said "It's saved under the Audit and Reporting Folder".
"Oh, it's in AW-DIT and Reporting is it?" he asked, and started laughing. I was like "What?? Wait a minute, I said Audit, as in Oh-dit".
"hahah, yeah, I know you say oh-dit, but most of you don't". Haaaa, tamparan hebat buat saya okay benda tu.
One of the other Malaysian guy from a different department got transferred to my department. So there are now 3 Malaysians in my team. It is them both who pronounce it as AW-DIT (as in when you are in pain.) Haaa, macammaner aku nak explain why they pronounce it as AW-DIT and not Oh-Dit??(as in in awe?) ..Cek maluuuuu on behalf of Malaysians. So now you know, please don't say Aw-dit ok peeps?
I don't know why they pronounce it that way. ha habis tu author korang sebut cammaner?

How about COUNTRY? Some people I know pronounce it as COUNTry(as in counting)hehehehe
Mi, put it in the Ooven or avern(overn).Tu lagi sebutan yg tak betul .Nak ikut kan banyak lagi kan.Tapi jgn lah sampai kat negri depa sebut cam tu....

mimi, kan bahasa melayu baku mmg camtu...blame it on DBP (maaf kalau ada sesiapa kerja sana)...it is AUdit, AUtomatik, tapi bukan AUtomotif, tapi Otomotif. Berubah2! I pun tak setuju cara colleagues u tu, memalukan. Org bila blaja bhs asing, make an effort to learn correct pronunciation laaa...
