As I sit here, with a cup of plain water(let's start ditching the coffee and tea ok?) and jazz music, enjoying the very last day of 2007, I'm recapping a year's event, into this little space. SO bear with me.
First and foremost, thanks to Allah, for the breath he has not taken away from me everyday that I am still alive. :).
Ok so here goes, in the first quarter of 2007, saw me still struggling with my Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance, having to balance both my studies and my life in this foreign-foreign land, which I now call, half-home. Met a lot of new people, who are now those who keep my sanity intact at times of ups and downs. Other than college life, nothing else was the real highlight.
I went back to Malaysia right after my exams, to unwind and relax from all the Leprechauns. Did the whole Cuti-cuti Malaysia thingy, as part of Malaysia's 50th independence day attracttions. Despite the heavy racial issues going in Malaysia, which sadly isn't going to do any good to anyone. And it's such a disgrace that my first conversation with one of my colleagues, was about the racial political issues that is going on in Malaysia.(alamak my blog post is swaying laa). Anyway, I am living under one roof with a Malaysian Indian, and we get along really well. And like two days ago, I had a long nice talk/chat with two of my Chinese friends. But hey, I don't address them as my chinese friends. I address them as MY FRIEnDS!.
I did a bit more travelling with my parents and sister somewhere in June 07 to Zhuhai, China. It was great stuff, like the place isn't as dirty as I had been told. Some of the people were really that honest. I did a little bit of shopping, and it was all good. Then my results were out when I was in China,Alhamdulillah, I passed it all with a 2.1. So that was kind of like the highlight of mid-year for me.
I went back to Dublin in search of a job mid-july. After weeks of antic searchings, I finally got a job as an Audit Administrator.(but, it's not so much of the audit you get in a practice, it's more Financial reporting and audit also laa) in Blackrock. Probably one of the best place outside Dublin. To top it all, my colleagues are great except for the two and my boss rocks anyway, so i don't dread going to work. Then, that became the biggest highlight of August 20th, 2007.
And by the time I knew it, it was already November, and it was graduation time~!! My family came to visit me for a month and as well as for my graduation. It was one of those lovely months where you wished it would last.
And then in December I went to Barcelona for my office christmas party. I really had a lot of fun!
And we had our own pre-new year dinner gathering as well, to usher in the New Year.

we turned ourselves into little leopards n bunnies.
the whole entourage
Anyway, last night was spent count-down-ing at a fren's bf's really cool crib. He had his only balcony, and really nice interior. Haish. and karaoke. We stayed till about 4. Haha, since the flat was just in Temple Bar. I don't hav ethe pictures yet, but I will uploa em later.
So that's all folks, my summary for 2007, the highlights and achievement being my graduation and getting a job! I know it's not one my best entries, but whateve yo
